Vladimir Dukhovlinov was born in 1950. In 1976 he graduated from the High Art-Industrial School named after V. I. Mukhina. He has been a participant of the Union of Experimental Art since 1980. The main personal exhibitions: the gallery ‘’On the Obvodny Canal’’(2002, St. Petersburg), the gallery ‘’The Northern Capital’’ (2003, St. Petersburg), ‘’The Details of Broadcasting’’(the gallery ‘’KvadraT’’ 2006, St. Petersburg), the Central Artist’s House (2006, Moscow), ‘’A Formula of Surface’’ ( Impronte Contemporary Art, 2007, Milan-San-Jiminiano). The main group exhibitions: ‘’Abstract Art in Russia, XX century’’ (2002, the State Russian Museum), ‘’Vanguard on the Neva’’(2003, the State Tretiakov Gallery), ‘’Art-Manege-2003’’ (Moscow), ‘’Three Centuries of Russian Art’’(2004, the State Russian museum). Vladimir Dukhovlinov is awarded with a medal ‘’In commemoration of 300 years of St. Petersburg’’ in nomination ‘’For contribution to art’’. His works are in the collections of the State Russian Museum, Samara Art Museum (Samara), the Central Exhibition Hall ‘’Manege’’ (St. Petersburg), Norton Dodge (Zimmerly Museum, New Jersey, the USA), the Museum of Sydney University ( Australia)and in many other private collections in Russia and abroad as well.
