biography

Oleg Oskolkov was
born in Leningrad in 1968. In 1989 – 1994 he studied at the department of painting in the Art
school named after V.Serov. In 1994 – 1999 he studied at the Theatre Academy
specializing in stage art (theatre-decorative art, a course of A.I. Slavin and
G. P. Sotnikov. He works in painting, drawing and stage graphic art. He has
become a member of the Union of Artists since 2006.
As a stage artist
he created performances in St. Petersburg, Novgorod,
Novosibirsk,
Nizhny Novgorobd and worked in 5 film projects as a stage artist and a
decorator. Among his theatre works are ‘’The Last Love of Don Juan,
Philanderer’’, the theatre ‘’Red Torch’’ (Novosibirsk,
2002) ‘’Tsar Solomon’s Fears’’ (the theatre named after V.F. Komissarzhevskaya,
St.Petersburg, 2003), ‘’There Won’t Be Winter’’ (the Theatre of Young
Spectators, Nizhny Novgorod, 2006). He was a
stage artist of the film ‘’The Myths of My Childhood’’ (director U. Feting,
2005). Personal exhibition ‘’Fragments of Impression’’ was shown in the gallery
‘’Naiv’’, 2005. Oleg Oskolkov lives and works in St. Petersburg.
