Sergey Bratkov

Sergey Bratkov (born in 1960, Kharkov, USSR) - Ukrainian artist and photographer.
Education: 1968-1978 Repin Art School, Kharkov, Ukraine.

1978-1983 Polytechnic Academy, Kharkov, Ukraine.

Sergey Bratkov is one of the founders of the artistic group Fast Reaction Group with Boris Mikhailov and Sergey Solonsky.
From 1993 to 1997, Bratkov opened a gallery "Apdaun" in his studio in Kharkov.
Since 2000, he lives and works in Moscow. In Moscow, his first exhibitions «Kids», «My Moscow" and "Seven", shown in the gallery "Regina", aroused the interest of the public and critics.
Sergey Bratkov participated in the Venice Biennale (2005, 2007), Sao Paulo (2002), Manifesta (2004).
In 2007, he represented Ukraine at the Venice Biennale.
In 2008, a retrospective exhibition was held in Winterthur Fotomuseum (Switzerland). Member of the Biruchiy International Symposium of Contemporary Art.
In 2010, he won the main prize of the Fifth Annual All-Russian prize for contemporary art "Innovation" for his video installation "Balaclava courage" shown in the gallery "Regina".
