Aljoscha
Aljoscha (b.1974, Glukhov, Ukraine). He lives and works in Düsseldorf, Germany.
Aljoscha is known for developing a new art movement “bioism” or “biofuturism”. His art is based on the creation of works, which express the visual possibilities of synthetic biology and, more recently, bioethical abolitionism. He believes, that in the future artists will work with living substances and create new forms of life and new ethics.
Since 2008, the artist has actively participated in various international exhibition projects (Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Greece); he is also the winner of the XXXV Premio Bancaja in the category of Sculpture (Valencia, Spain) and the winner of the art prize “Schlosspark 2009” (Cologne, Germany).
Education
He studied 2001-2002 by Konrad Klapheck at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany and 2006 by Shirin Neshat at International Summer Academy of Fine Arts in Salzburg, Austria.
