The festival «PLAYMMOMA: the Game of Contemporary Art!», aimed for children ages 4-15 and their parents, will introduce a whole range of fun educational activities for kids developed by the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. The Festival is a platform for the pilot version of the online educational game PLAYMMOMA, which will introduce kids to the key concepts and techniques of contemporary art.

Sections of the Festival’s space were designed as interactive workshops. They reflected the structure of the online game and correlated with the formats of the MMOMA children’s programs and master classes. In the halls of the third floor of the museum premises at Petrovka Street, visitors could test the online game, build a real installation of mail boxes, participate in a performance, create their own animated films and much more!

The Festival was accompanied by the exhibition of 29 artworks by contemporary artists from the MMOMA collection including artworks by artists of Anna Nova gallery: Alexander Dashevskiy, Ivan Plusch, Vlad Kulkov. These works are used as contextual references in the online game. In the Festival’s space, they will give rise to different fun offline activities.
