Contest 2010

Contest 2010

19 Sep - 19 Dec 2010

April 12, 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the first manned space flight by Yuri Gagarin.
And yet - space did not become closer for these fifty years. It still keeps its secrets, as the Ocean in "Solaris", invented by Stanislav Lem and embodied by Andrei Tarkovsky. What are the symbols of cosmic discoveries, and if one may say so, the figure of space in contemporary art?
So, us and space, internal and external, are eternal images, but they are always waiting for the individual incarnation in art of each next generation.
