The project combines video, graphics and photography, which are folded into a single visual itinerary, where the gaze becomes the main tool for perceiving space.
The central work is a meditative video installation. The artist's gaze moves from his native Altai Territory to the village of Elton and on to the state of Texas.
Filippov uses minimal expressive means to explore how images are formed in analogue and digital environments. Attention to movement, light, and form helps to find a common space between the self and the other.
The curator of the project is Kristina Romanova
The exhibition is open on August 17
