“Goddess” is a performative object consisting of a wooden sculpture, an audio track and instructions on how to interact with the work.
The work was created as part of the installation “Glitter on a Red Night” for the House of Narkomfin. The artists of the Experimental Cell 13 16 45 project were asked to reflect on the failure of communist utopia, to identify the ideological omissions that occurred in the design of the transitional house, and to come up with alternative ways of living in it. Fyodor Hiroshige created an installation to ritually engage with this rationally designed building.
Garage's collection is centred on works created by Russian artists in the 1980s-2020s. The collection is closely linked to the existing archive on the history of Russian contemporary art, which the Museum has been collecting since 2012.
