We keep moving forward and continue to experiment. This time, we tried a new format for us — a podcast and we’re excited to share our debut episode with you.
In January 2026 Anna Nova Gallery presented "Produce of Oblivion" — the first solo exhibition in Saint Petersburg by Ivan Novikov, an artist represented by pop / off / art gallery. The project was curated by Alexandra Urbanovskaya.
In this podcast episode we spoke with Ivan and Alexandra about the key ideas behind the project: why does the artist choose to limit his visual language to blue monochromes? Why was the traditional curatorial text replaced with poetic commentary? Is poetic form really the best key to understanding this exhibition? And why is any viewer’s reaction considered valid?
