Cosmoscow 2022: Moscow, Russia

15 - 17 September 2022
MAIN section, booth C6 https://www.cosmoscow.com/ru/

Anna Nova Gallery is pleased to present works by two famous Saint-Petersburg artists — Vlad Kulkov and Piotr Dyakov.

Vlad Kulkov is one of the most vivid and recognizable contemporary Russian artists. His vibrant large-scale canvases depict what is hard to put into words. The theatrical composition is filled with references to music, poetry and natural phenomena. For the art fair, Kulkov specially creates a new series of paintings, where he continues the author's study of the formation of  biomorphic structures  irrational and primordial matter.

Piotr Dyakov is the co-founder of the North-7 group. The booth features bronze sculptures, whose distinctive feature is the author's technique: using casts of his own hands, Piotr creates a plastic clay form and then fills it with bronze. The most famous historical prototype is bell casting, where the object is created directly in the ground.

Forming an organic synthesis between painting and sculpture, the booth's exposition draws the viewer's attention to the 'life of forms', whether they are presented in planar or volumes. The artists take us back to the archaic times, when natural and cultural forms were tightly connected through trace, impression or imprint.
