In processes there should be ease and transparency, which costs a lot and is difficult to achieve

In his works Denis Patrakeev strives for the poetry of material and form. Classical techniques are intertwined with natural materials such as wood, stone, metal, water, which are metaphors of the worldview. For Denis, the most interesting are the spiritual sphere, minimalistic language and harmony. His work is inspired by theology and philosophy. In the oncoming movement of these forms of cognition is the artist's  symbolic world.

His projects were showed in Russia, UK and Sweden, Germany, Austria, Estonia, France, Switzerland, Belguim, India. Since 2008 he is a member of Artists Trade Union of Russia. He became the nominee of the Sergey Kuryokhin award in 2016 and 2018.  His works are in the collection of the Russian State Museum, Erarta Museum of Contemporary Art, Sergey Kuryokhin Center for Modern Art .
