Olga and Oleg Tatarintsev are a duet of Russian artists, known for their multimedia projects, which include paintings, drawings, objects, sound, and video. They work both together and as independent authors, for instance, Olga is the only one of them doing paintings. Their works feature serene forms, brilliant colors, and flawless techniques verging on perfection. In their projects, they often turn to phenomena and concepts, related to alarming social and political events of the past, featuring them in today’s context without any hortatory remarks. One of the aspects of their artistic research is the creative dialogue with philosophers and writers from the 20th century, including Martin Heidegger, Hannah Arendt, Daniil Harms, Ludwig Wittgenstein etc.

The artists’ projects were exhibited in France, Switzerland, Chile, the USA, Poland, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine. The Tatarintsevs took part in the International Biennale of Contemporary Creation and Ceramics (Vallauris, 2014), the parallel program of Manifesta 11, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art (2016), Aluminium Biennale of Modern Art (2019), the special project of the Ural Industrial Biennale of Modern Art (2015), as well as special projects of the Moscow Biennale of Modern Art (2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2017).

Olga and Oleg’s works can be found in quite remarkable museum collections, including Magnelli Museum and Ceramics Museum (Vallauris, France), Rappaz Museum (Basel, Switzerland), Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Moscow, Russia), State Russian Museum (St. Petersburg, Russia).
