ANNA AND VITALY CHEREPANOV

Anya and Vitalik Cherepanov initiate lasting events inside of the contemporary art world, public and digital spaces. They develop their projects as test models for critical interaction with the surrounding environment, bringing in and multiplying errors and studying the applicative capabilities of an artistic gesture. Their practice includes but is not limited to collective performances, street art, installations, video art, making clothes, creating play kits,sculpture,painting, etc.

 

The artists participated in the main projects of the 4th and 5th Ural Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art (2017, 2019), Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale (2019), in the project the NEMOSKVA exhibition (MORE THAN MOSCOW). In 2019, both their projects 'Theater under the cameras' and 'Dice' were nominees for the 'Innovation' award in the category 'New Generation' in the field of contemporary art. Participants of the Garage Museum of Contemporary Art Workshops (2019).

 

The works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Nizhny Tagil Museum of Fine Arts.
