An exhibition of finalists of the Nova Art 8 is opened

Anna Nova Gallery and the Alexandr Foundation presented the exhibition of the finalist of the All-Russian competition Nova Art 8 - 'New Skin: The Myth of The Technological Body'.

The curator of the competition and exhibition was Snezhana Krasteva.

 

The exhibition shows the works of twelve finalists of the All-Russian competition of projects for young artists Nova Art 8. The finalists are: Alisa Omelyantseva, Lyuba Sautina, Katya Muravyova and Petr Bardin, Aziza Kadiri, Alexandra Pavlovskaya, Anastasia Bogomolova, Anna Martynenko, Ksenia Obukhovskaya, Katya Isaeva, Ulyana Podkorytova, Ffrrbrr group, Julia Vergazova and Nikolay Ulyanov.

 

As prizes, the finalists received grants for the implementation of full-scale projects, personal exhibitions in galleries: Anna Nova Gallery (St. Petersburg), MYTH Gallery (St. Petersburg), Victoria Gallery (Samara), FUTURO Gallery (Nizhny Novgorod), Electromuseum (Moscow), participation in the art residences of the Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin Foundation (Moscow), in the HIAP residence in Helsinki, as well as a research trip to Nizhny Novgorod from the 9B gallery, and in the residence of the Radiance Center for Contemporary Art (Apatity), provided by the founder of the Center Andrey Malakhov. Research trips are accompanied by the award of a grant for the implementation of the project. Among the prizes are also 6 educational programs: a course at the Masters school, an intensive course at the Moscow School of Contemporary Art in partnership with the British Higher School of Art& Design, two-year training at the Baza Institute, master classes at St. Stieglitz State Academy of Art and Design, a special prize from the New Media Laboratory, two special prizes from the ART & SCIENSE program of ITMO University.

 

During the exhibition, an educational program has been prepared in partnership with the Masters school.

 

The project is being implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund, the Committee for Culture of St. Petersburg, the Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantin Sorokin Foundation, and the Mikhail Bazhenov Foundation.
