Planetary Nebulas by Rostan Tavasiev in Abramtsevo

Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve will open a solo exhibition ‘Planetary Nebulas’ by the artist

On 21 January Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve will open a solo exhibition ‘Planetary Nebulas’ by Rostan Tavasiev showcasing projects of artworks in outer space.

The project was presented at the Anna Nova Gallery for the first time in February 2021. The artist proposes to expand the boundaries of art to universal limits. The artworks were created on the basis of planetary nebulas – layers of a discarded stellar shell, twinkling in the light of a dying star. The photos demonstrate a project of a planetary nebula called ‘The Hare Spiral’.

‘Abramtsevo Museum-Reserve held my grandfather's first solo exhibition in the 70s, and my father's in the 90s. Tomorrow my personal project opens in the house where Vasily Polenov lived and worked. I’m full of awe, responsibility and gratitude’, says the artist.
