My research interest spans shock-and awe campaigns, proto-continental geographies, thought-objects prototypes, self-declared enclaves and self-sovereign network systems, rewiring memory architectures and existential feedback loops

Egor Kraft works at the intersection of art, technology, design and critical research, addressing the media of films, moving image, object, sound and text.

His artistic practice involves the creation of projects on the verge of reality and its distorted virtual representation using artificial information systems, traditional media and mass media, as well as multimedia and interventions. In his research activities, Kraft tends to develop speculative narratives that describe the problem of defining the boundaries between the human aspect of the irrational and the accelerating rationalization inherent in technological reality in the Anthropocene era and possible scenarios of the future.

He participated in the Moscow International Biennale for Young Art, Ukranian Biennale Arsenale, Manifesta 10, Parallel Vienna, Innovation as Method in Hermitage Museum, Open Codes in ZKM, Impakt Festival in Utrecht, Ars Electronica 2018 and many other international shows, screenings and festivals across Australia, Europe, South America, US and the UK.

Solo exhibitions were shown in Sweden, Russia and Estonia and also he was nominated for various prizes including the State Innovation Art Prize (New Generation), Sergey Kuryokhin Contemporary Art Award (Young Artist of the Year), Creative Enterprise Award initiated by University of Arts, London and the Pulsar Prize, Paris. In 2017 he was included in the New East 100, a list of people, places and projects shaping our world today by London based Calvert Journal.

The works are in the collections of the Multimedia Art Museum, Sergey Kuryokhin Center for Contemporary Art, Ripley's! in the USA, Cyland Video Archive, ZKM, Center for Art & Media in Germany and Colección Solo in Spain.
