A contemporary Russian artist David Ter-Oganyan works with graphics, painting, video, photography, as well as performances and installations. In his work, David touches upon the social and political problems of society, largely based on the images and revolutionary ideas of the Russian avant-garde. During the last years David mainly creates his works on the computer and then transfers them to paper or canvas or shows them in slideshow format.


In 2004 he became a laureate of the first Russian prize in the field of contemporary art Black Square, and in 2011 he became the first Russian artist to receive the Henkel Art. Award in Austria. Participated in exhibitions in Germany, Italy, USA, Estonia and Russia. David Ter-Oganyan's works can be seen in the collections of the State Russian Museum, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Warsaw Museum of Modern Art, as well as in private collections in Russia and Europe.
